HayMarket Hub Hotel

ASG has completed the installation of a state-of-the-art Hybrid VRF system at the Haymarket Hub Hotel, upgrading air conditioning across 179 bedrooms and communal areas. Designed with future expansion in mind, the system will also extend to 63 additional rooms. The two-pipe Hybrid VRF allows simultaneous heating and cooling while improving energy efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness by eliminating the need for refrigerant leak detection. The result is a modern, reliable solution that enhances guest comfort and reduces long-term operating costs.

Nuffield Health Chilled Water Systems

ASG delivered a £1.4 million nationwide programme for CBRE, replacing ageing R22 air conditioning systems across Nuffield Health’s 34 private hospitals and 110 leisure facilities. Delivered in two phases, starting with healthcare sites, the project was executed largely outside normal working hours to ensure zero disruption to clinical services and gym operations. ASG installed a mix of Mitsubishi DX and chilled water systems, coordinating closely with site teams to meet tight deadlines and complex logistical demands. Completed on time and within budget, the programme showcased ASG’s expertise in delivering high-value, critical upgrades in live environments with safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption.

Nuffield Health Two Daikin Chillers

ASG responded to an urgent chiller failure where standard replacement times of 8–10 weeks were not an option. With hire units unfeasible due to site constraints, we sourced two in-stock Daikin chillers from Southern Italy within 24 hours. Ordered on July 18th, delivered to the UK three days later, and lifted into place on July 22nd, our team adapted pipework, controls, and wiring over the weekend. Testing and commissioning were completed by July 26th, delivering a fully operational system in just 10 working days with a coordinated team of 20 specialists.

BMI Healthcare Operating Theatre R22 Refrigerant Replacement

As part of BMI Healthcare’s nationwide R22 refrigerant replacement programme, ASG upgraded two operating theatres at BMI South Cheshire Private Hospital. The outdated R22-based DX systems were replaced with R410a-compliant cooling coils, new HEPA filtration, LPHW frost and heating coils, and energy-efficient Daikin ERQ inverter-driven condensers. Completed over two long weekends, the project met current HTM standards, restored reliability, and was delivered with minimal disruption to hospital operations.

UCL The Royal Free Hospital

ASG delivered a full mechanical services package at the Royal Free Hospital, converting vacant spaces into six medical research laboratories. The design-and-build project included ductwork, VRF air conditioning, public health services, and fume cupboard extract, progressing from stage three to stage five with detailed point cloud surveys. Working in a live hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic required strict measures to avoid disruption, keeping surrounding systems operational and carefully coordinating deliveries to align with the hospital’s critical operations.
