ASG was appointed to a full HVAC upgrade at the Hollister store in Bluewater. After repeated callouts, the life-expired Lennox rooftop packaged unit and eight back-of-house Daikin wall-mounted systems were unfit for continued use. The work sat inside one of the UK’s busiest retail centres, with a hard deadline: everything had to be ready before the summer peak. Noisy work and the crane lift had to happen out of hours, and the lift itself needed sign-off from the centre landlord while several major projects ran on site at once.
ASG consolidated every scope into a single fast-track programme. On the roof, the team isolated and removed the old BMS, electrical connections and ductwork, then used a 90-tonne crane out of hours to lift out the old Lennox unit and lift in the new plant, with primary and secondary ductwork measured, fabricated and installed on site. The crane lift was planned with the Bluewater landlord and centre management to secure an approved window, access routes and compliance with centre protocols.
Back of house, eight outdated wall-mounted units were replaced with eight high-efficiency Daikin systems, with electrical, condensate and control modifications, then full testing and commissioning. Despite short lead times, the whole programme was delivered without delay.
