A global consumer goods company’s West London offices were running on fluorescent lighting well past its working life. Control failures were becoming regular, energy costs were climbing, and the fluorescent lamp ban had already taken effect. The client had sustainability targets to meet and needed a payback the business could justify. The constraint that shaped everything was access: a live corporate office where ASG could only work nights and weekends throughout.
Andrew Cowper’s team ran a full Relux lighting design, completed a space inventory, and managed a samples approval process with the client. Lux levels were confirmed across both floors before a single fitting was ordered. Rather than specify an off-the-shelf LED replacement, ASG engineered a bespoke retrofit casing around an existing fitting in-house, reusing the original infrastructure entirely.
Lightforms, QVIS, and Thorn products were specified with Bluetooth controls throughout. Work ran floor by floor, with staff working from home as each zone went live. When the client added an upgraded area to the Bluetooth control strategy in the final week, ASG had fittings on a test bench the next morning and absorbed the scope without slipping the four-week programme.
